Hi,
I see nothing jump out at me in portage, is anyone using this? Is it
worth a look? Is it worth trying to put together an ebuild?

Java Streaming API for XML?
Sure, i'm trying to use StAX, but i really don't use gentoo's installed
java-packages. I put the JAR-files into my project, and tell my IDE to
put them into the classpath. So there's no need to build an ebuild for
me, and i still not decided how i should think about gentoo's tactic to
install java-packages system-wide. Well, it has some advantages as well
as some disadvantages.
