Googled for about 20 minutes on this, didnt find what i was looking for.
Im installing gentoo on my work box and i dont want to suck down all the bandwidth on the emerge sync and when i install stuff from portage. At home its no big deal, but here is a different story. I see that you can set FETCHCOMMAND and RESUMECOMMAND in your make.conf for wget, but im not sure what options are there by default. If i put a limit in here, im guessing it over rides the default settings and it will hose the default options that get passed to wget. And ideas on how to quickly add --limit-rate=X option to wget and --bwlimit=X to rsync when using emerge? Thanks. -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list |
