Oddly enough, re-emerging PAM seems to have resolved this.
However, /var/log/auth.log is getting this: Jun 24 17:54:00 mail saslauthd[4635]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logusercolumn not set Jun 24 17:54:00 mail saslauthd[4635]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but loghostcolumn not set Jun 24 17:54:00 mail saslauthd[4635]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logtimecolumn not set Jun 24 17:55:43 mail saslauthd[4636]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logtable not set Jun 24 17:55:43 mail saslauthd[4636]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logmsgcolumn not set Jun 24 17:55:43 mail saslauthd[4636]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logusercolumn not set Jun 24 17:55:43 mail saslauthd[4636]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but loghostcolumn not set Jun 24 17:55:43 mail saslauthd[4636]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logtimecolumn not set Jun 24 17:56:48 mail saslauthd[4637]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logtable not set Jun 24 17:56:48 mail saslauthd[4637]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logmsgcolumn not set Jun 24 17:56:48 mail saslauthd[4637]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logusercolumn not set Jun 24 17:56:48 mail saslauthd[4637]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but loghostcolumn not set Jun 24 17:56:48 mail saslauthd[4637]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logtimecolumn not set Jun 24 17:57:37 mail saslauthd[4638]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logtable not set Jun 24 17:57:37 mail saslauthd[4638]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logmsgcolumn not set Jun 24 17:57:37 mail saslauthd[4638]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logusercolumn not set Jun 24 17:57:37 mail saslauthd[4638]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but loghostcolumn not set Jun 24 17:57:37 mail saslauthd[4638]: pam_mysql: error: sqllog set but logtimecolumn not set .....despite the fact that sqllog=0 is in every /etc/pam.d file.. -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list |

I can't compile xfree. Either -r5 or -r6 give this compilation error:
