Default hotplug: skip pci

Hi !

Is there a way to skip the pci devices in the hotplug script ? Since I've
found no detailed information about this topic, I'll give it a try here...
So where is it possible to modify the execution of hotplug agents in a way
so that future updates won't cause trouble (e.g. due to having adjusted the
wrong file) ?

Thanks in advance
Matthias

I confess I don't understand your question -- but have you looked at
/etc/hotplug/pci.agent and/or 'man hotplug' ?

Yes, I did, but it seems that editing /etc/init.d/hotplug is the only way to
achieve this, which I have done right now. I first wanted to see if there
was another approach, too (by editing some conf-files), editing the
init-scripts is surely not the best thing to do (with trouble I meant
trouble with portage, since I do not know how it reacts on changed files in
init.d)

Greetings
Matthias
