Default k3b cannot allocate memory



I'm having this problem with k3b. I've run the setup program and
changed permissions so that i can write as user.
HEre's the error log

I have the same problem, check the archives for several discussions on this. I
get round it by running "sudo k3b"

I know there are some technical solutoins, but try taking the suid bit
of cdrecord first and then see if k3b can then do the burn. Doing this
worked just fine for me...

I tried running as root, my system becomes unusable while it burns. :s
