mount cdrom
hi,
Few days ago i went to kernel 2.6. But I can't access my cdrom anymore. It is a combo DVD/CD-writer. I read that the scsi drivers weren't needed for writing anymore so I didn't compile them in the kernel. This is my rule in /etc/fstab none /mnt/cdrom supermount dev=/dev/cdrom,fs=auto,ro,--,iocharset=iso9660,codepage=850,umask=0 0 0 Plz help Greetz Matata |

That's right. What does 'ls /dev/cdroms' tell you? Perhaps you need to load the ide-cd module? Sybren -- The problem with the world is stupidity. Not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? |

Yes correct, I did not compile the ide-scsi emulation in kernel, because
it is a ide-cdrom I checked if the cdrom wasn't disconnected, or broken by starting up to win*** ,it recognised the cdrom... Greetz |
