I've got a Sony VAIO Z505 running RedHat 8.0. I'd like to
upgrade that system to a living Linux distro. Problem is that I no longer have the CD-ROM drive for that notebook. In the past, I've upgraded RedHat using up2date over the network. I've followed a procedure where I change the redhat-release RPM and up2date then updates a slew of RPMs. http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/wlg/2848 Is there a procedure to follow to migrate this system to Gentoo using an updater like yum or apt-get? Thanks in advance. -- Alan Gutierrez - alan@engrm.com - http://engrm.com/ aim:alanengrm - feed:http://engrm.com/rss.2.0.xml -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list |
