Default Cannot update a 2006 Official machine.

My main machine is an AMD 64 bit machine running 2006 (32 version).
It is fine except that neither urpmi -auto-update nor Easy Urpmi will work.
Both return:

unable to retrieve pathname for removable medium "The Ultimate Linux
Desktop DVD (cdrom)"

I have attempted the fixes I've found on Google but either I'm attempting
them wrongly or they don't work. Can someone spell out what I should do?

Hmmm, have you gone into MCC Software management, and Unchecked that media
and tried the urpmi -auto-update?

Read the last 2 lines of my signature. I'll wait. . . . . . . . . . . . .

If so and fails, I would copy/backup /etc/urpmi/urpmi.cfg somewhere safe and
take that stanza out with an editor and try the urpmi again.

The warranty and liability expired as you read this message.
If the above breaks your system, it's yours and you keep both pieces.

The first five sections relate to the DVD/CDs 1 to 5

Removing those from urpmi.cfg and the remaining options restored
themselves with what appear to be several for 2007(?). Replacing the
CD/DVD sections still produced a could not be found message for each.
Still its a step forward .... I think.

Have you tried # urpmi.removemedia -a and then http://easyurpmi.zarb.org
to add sources ? You can always add your removable media to the list later.
