Hi! How does the KDE Office suite compares to Open Office Suite
regarding usability and transfer of files to Windows MS office

I've not tried Koffice recently, but last time I did, it was not very
good. OpenOffice is GREAT since v2 came out. I generally use AbiWord and
Gnumeric simply because they are smaller stand-alone packages. They work
nearly as well as OO2.

I have to agree. Abiword seems to supply a great deal of the every day
demands and pulls up most any mail program you want to use with it. It
also finds most all of the fonts you might have on your rig. It loads
faster than oo and again, you have more control over the font packages.
Its plug-in packages I like more than the ones given in oo. The oo2 is
more complete, big office everything and has the database setup. If you
really want a knock-down printer product surprise try LYX. It is amazing
what it can do with your printer. If you type a letter to a friend and
press 'print' it comes off your printer looking like a product from Yale
University Press, copyright and all.
