I switched from KDE to Gnome desktop and when I attempt to run gdmsetup
from the command line I get the errors seen below. If I try from GUI
nothing happens. How can I get the authentication to work, this is
puzzling me. Mandriva 2006.
[root@localhost Desktop]# gdmsetup
(gdmsetup:5026): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session
manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols
specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.
Could not access GDM configuration file.

unable to run gdmsetup
Never mind, I got it to work. I needed to go into mcc, System, choose
GDM for the login manager. I still get that error from command line,
but gdmsetup loads and I can configure GDM.
