i want to build a linux box from just source code. can anybody know how
to build linux box from source code e.g (taking source codes
Kernel,grub etc ....). I want to know the steps to build it because
this is my boss requirement & i have to complete it to save my job. help

....To save your job!? Yikes! I hope Gentoo would suffice. Go check
out the Gentoo handbook and read it front to back while sitting in front
of a system you can trash without loosing anything.

Take three days to build everything and enjoy!

Give yourself _at_least_ a week if you're _very_ knowledgable about
Linux, otherwise plan on a month+.

If your boss has specific requirements/goals for this exercise, you're
probably better off using a code base already close to what you need.
Ie., firewall/router? Embedded? Mini desktop? Server(s) appliance?
Cluster management?
