Default Urgent HELP with LVM

Hi,

Got myself in a pickle today. I was having some troubles with various
libraries not loading on my FC4 machine. Anyway to cut a long story short it
didnt come back up after the upgrade.

I am hoping that the filesystem is still intact. I rebuilt a clean FC5
version on a new disk and I am up and running again. However I want to get
access to the files on the old disk that are sitting on I presume an
upgraded LVM2 volume.

I have plugged the drive in via a usb portable and can see the following.

lvm> pvdisplay

--- Physical volume ---

PV Name /dev/hda3
VG Name VolGroup00
PV Size 74.31 GB / not usable 0
Allocatable yes
PE Size (KByte) 32768
Total PE 2378
Free PE 1
Allocated PE 2377
PV UUID G36SXL-sX1A-HPHb-l8XB-77Y4-sAV6-iavHyy

--- NEW Physical volume ---
PV Name /dev/sda2
VG Name
PV Size 74.43 GB
Allocatable NO
PE Size (KByte) 0
Total PE 0
Free PE 0
Allocated PE 0
PV UUID NwNPEg-5lGZ-7U4L-fXnm-tczH-kwXu-MeQkeA

But what does worry me is that

lvm> pvs

PV VG Fmt Attr PSize PFree
/dev/hda3 VolGroup00 lvm2 a- 74.31G 32.00M
/dev/sda2 lvm2 -- 74.43G 74.43G

in the fact that its all free. This could be due to the fact that because it
doesnt belong to a volgroup that is unable to see the information on the
disk. In an attempt to get it up and running I did a vgextend and joined it
to vol00 however that didnt give me access to the data so I did a vgremove
and its back to the above.

Is the data toast now or is there anyway of retreiving it?

Please let me know I am desperate.

Thanks - Warren
