Default Feb 15 00:17:24 mail master : setrlimit: Unable to set file descriptors limit to -1: Operation not permitted

Hello,

I have installed a mail server SuSE Linux Professional 8.2 - Postfix + Cyrus
IMAP + SASL

I always see an error code,

/var/log/warn

Feb 15 00:17:24 mail master[1159] : setrlimit: Unable to set file
descriptors limit to -1: Operation not permitted

Feb 15 00:17:24 mail master[1159] : retrying with 1024 (current max)

What does this mean and what is the solutions to the error?

The above error always appears when I start Cyrus IMAP Server.

I keeping trying installing SuSE Linux Professional on my workstation and
for some installations Outlook Express takes a lot of time to connect to
the Mail Server.

The IMAP folders take a lot of time to synchronize and any outgoing mail
also takes a lot of time to leave the system.

Some installations everything works fast & fine, with very same config
files. Very strange problem.

Please help.
Clifford
