Two primary reasons. 1. It handles cross-posts, and marks other
copies in other groups read. 2. It has a very useful way of
searching and displaying bookmarks.

Less important - I am used to it, and it is mounted.

I don't recommend it to others as their systems are probably
different, and even finding a mountable copy is likely to be hard.
I don't use the Communicator facility - Firefox fills that space
quite nicely.
