Default Kubuntu Feisty 7.04 and Sb Awe64

Hi all,

I'm new to Ubuntu and I chose the Kde package to help me in the
transition. It's got some nice features and I'd like to keep it. I have a PC
with a crappy onboard sound chip and I have installed my old Sound Blaster
Awe64 ISA card and it works fine in Windows so I know the card is physically
okay. I have managed to set the index so the SB card is default and I have
the modules loaded at startup but I can't seem to get midi sounds to play.
Sorry if I'm wording this badly but could someone please offer a bit of
help? I seem to have all other sounds working okay including internet
streaming.

BS

Forget it. It's apparent this crap isn't ready for release.

"BS" illuminated the devil's arse by typing:

Have you disabled the on-board chip?
Which device are you using ALSA or OSS

You may wish to try ALSA if it's the latter.

Also, instead of losing your rag do a little self help. All your
question did was necessitate the need for further questions. People
simply cannot be arsed doing this. IF you're not prepared to put a
little effort in, then don't expect anyone else to.

I also suggest you check out some of the following links

Before even contemplating going anywhere else though, lose the bloody
attiude.
