Default Astra1H (tv)

I was wondering if someone might be able to help me

I want to check out a channel, eUrotic TV

I have just moved to a new block of flats where we have 1 common
dish linked to all the flats

When i scan for satellites i recieve the following satellites...
Astra1B (19.2) Astra2A2B (28.2)

I have since found out eurotic.TV is shown on
Astra 1H, 19.2 ° east
12.633 H, SR 22.000, FEC 5/6

If I'm receiving Astra 1B, should i be able to receive Astra 1H ?
Or are the totally different satellites

Unfortunately eurotic isn't on 1B, or when i scan, it isnt comming up

How can i view channels on Astra1H (19.2) ?
Would i need reallign my dish or something

btw, im using a german digital reciever called a "digital 4100CI"
and im in London. My knowledge of satellite tv is very limited

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Regards

Anthony

This in itself seems unlikely from one communal dish.

How are you switching from one satellite to the other?

Hi Anthony,

The two sats are in totally different points in the sky. You would need
another dish or a multi-position LNB arm pointing at the two degrees of
separation.

The Astra 28.2, and 28.5 sats sound as though they are in use by tenants on
the standard SKY packages from the existing communal dish. The sat you need
(Astra H) is 9 degrees further to the south, or to the right slightly, than
the standard SKY dish alignment.

You could use a multi-LNB arm on the existing dish, which might work just as
well. Make sure the dish is re-aligned correctly to allow for the extra
weight that has been added to the arm when you use this method.

A multi-LNB arm allows you to set two or more of the signal receiving parts
(Low Noise Blockers = LNB's) to be pointed at different parts of the sky to
pick up the different satellites.

With a multi-LNB system, you will also need either separate cabling from
each LNB, or a system which can signal a DiseQ switch to change between the
LNB's on the dish automatically.

A DiSeq switch is the easiest way, but only if the receiver you have can be
used to change which LNB it uses at any one time. Separate coaxial cabling
from each LNB on the dish is more difficult. You have to physically change
each cable you need on the back of the receiver. Labelling the cables with
the sat names helps a lot with this though. :-)

Hope this helps a little bit.

Although not answering your question, it's not worth it - you're better
off with a wank mag.

You could try your own dish if you have a North facing window. The current
frequencies for the channel listed at www.lyngsat.com are: Astra 1KR, 19.2
East, 10832 H, SR 22000, FEC 5/6 and Hotbird 6, 13 East 10853 H, SR 27500,
FEC 3/4.

Presumably that is from your own experience - I've always though you
were a bit of a wanker, you now confirm it!

Correction, sorry. I should of course have said South facing, not North,
