The BBCi channels that transmits the world cup and wimbledon is not signalled as TV services but data services(its probably done to hide them from non Sky boxes). This means that most receivers will not find the services. Those who do store them as seven channels from "STREAM-0" to "STREAM-6". If the the receiver supports adding channels with manually PIDs or serviceID/ProgID then the details on http://www.lyngsat.com/28east.html can be used. Look at frequency 124441V. Btw, the BBCi services that transmit world cup and wimbledon is NOT on Astra2D but on Astra2B southbeam and got far better European coverage. |

My Echostar AD3000IP VA receiver does that. I was turning in all the
FTA stations on Astra 2 only a few days ago where I thought those STREAM-? stations looked odd. Also I see that there are indeed a lot of FTA stations on Astra 2 these days. It seems that ITV Digital going bankrupt was useful after all when the following FreeView service was FTA. So Sky has now done their own version to the benefit of all us satellite viewers. Too bad they never realised the popularity of FTA when they were first starting out, but that is profit for you. Cardman http://www.cardman.org http://www.cardman.com http://www.cardman.co.uk |

You may be able to receive the pictures, but they will resolve as two
or more seperate ones onscreen. To get the full effect you need a digibox, which has the software to present the data correctly. -- Jim Watt http://www.gibnet.com |
