Default Can't burn Dvds above 2x (pioneer)

When trying to burn a Dvd at 4x using a pioneer 105 and ritek 4x
disks, I get a power calibration error.
I can burn at 2x ok.
Any idea how to fix?

Cheers Steve

It might be the media. Some Ritek, TDK, Verbatim and other brand name disks
are actually counterfeit, and are sold on the Internet by rip-off dealers.
You should try other 4X media and see if they also result in the same error
message.

Try DVD decryptor with the blank media in ISO burn mode, it lists the info
listed on the disc. Ritek G03 is x2 Speed, G04 is x4 speed, Princo is usally
x4 speed etc.

What firmware version are you using?
Try the later version 1.33 which Ritek recommend for this DVD Burner
model number.
