How to force a software on sky+ (sky)

How do I force a software upgrade on sky +.

I have pluged the box in whilst holding the backup and also tried the power
on button.

advice please

you do it like you said, holdback up and plug power back in,
you have to wait about 10-15 secs though then all leds will
come on.

pull out the power lead press and hold the back up button insert power lead.
hold back up button till 4 light appear on the digibox
relise the back up button and wait till the box resets its self
