Default I have a stupid question.

If i were to purchase a C band disc and a 4dtv unit. How much will it
cost me a month to get the channels that they show on the site that are
available? Let's say you want the whole package all the cable and the movie
channells; what will this cost per month.

thanks from a newbie who's sick of Directv!

If you choose to purchase a MegaView package with All movies etc.
figure about $1400.00 a year not counting the sports packages offered.

$285.25 per quarter for "get it all with digital starz" and "absolute
digital package" from NPS.

Plus the cost of equipment and the cost of installing the dish and
equipment amortized over the expected lifetime of the system.

This involves a guess on your part; I think C Band and 4DTV will go on
forever. Naysayers to this group mumble about two years. Whenever I
renew programming the provider surveys me as to how satisfied with my
big dish (rate 0 to 5). etc. Not comforting.

I don't consider this factor as I have 4 big dishes and two 4dtv's in
place. I do my own maintenance too.

But for a new install, if the dish, equipment and installation costs
$2400; and the whole thing will have to be scrapped in two years; add
$100/mo to the cost of programming to get a good estimate of your costs
of dumping the little dish.

Also add what you figure to be the cost of maintenance to your figures
too, if you wish an honest comparison.
