Peter:
You will need an authoring program. There are a couple of free ways to go, but they are quite difficult and very time consuming using applications such as IfoEdit. The best authoring package for the money in my book is TmpgEnc DVD Author, download for $68. http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda.html Its only purpose in life is to create DVD's. It is easy to get started with, but can be creatively expanded to fit a wide variety of needs. There are other packages that offer more for more, but also much more complicated. You can try the above for 30 days to see if it fits your needs. Side note. The mpegs must be DVD compliant for any authoring package to work properly. Cheers. Mark |

I already had TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 so the approach I took
when I got a PC with a DVD burner is to convert to DVD using TMPGEnc Plus and output to separate audio and video files for each title(at the last step when you name the output file in the wizard there's a checkbox.) Then I use the freeware DVDAuthorGUI to author the DVD. Esp. if you don't need menus it's very easy to use. I recommend setting it to produce an .iso DVD image then burn with Nero or another burner you know works on your PC. For guides just go to http://www.dvdrhelp.com and click on the Author button on the left. Of course all of the above assumes you're using a PC running some flavor of Windows such as XP. ![]() |

I've been using it for a few years now. http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/shopping/index.html |

VSO's free "Divx To DVD" program will do the job - it doesn't just convert
Divx video, but also MPEG, Quicktime and Windows Media Video. Just feed your files to it, hit "convert" and come back later to a finished, playable DVD... http://www.download.com/3000-7970_4-10341695.html Incidentally, though the readme supplied with that software says it can't convert multiple files at once, it actually can. Just select them, one at a time, in the "source file" dialog. They will be converted in the order you add them and placed on the resulting DVD as seperate, linked titles. - Anthony |

Would need to know what that you are coming from and to?
Here is a good article: http://www.dvddemystified.com/dvdfaq.html#3.4 There are many good applications, some of the free, to convert mpeg video from one format to another. PAL (Europe) is different than NTSC (USA). Cheers! |
