Sky+ re-con box fitted for £100 - are they any good

I have ordered one of the refurbished SKY+ box's from Sky. Does anyone here
any comments on using them. They come with 12 month guarantee but I suspect
are old models.

Based on the flakiness of the new boxes I can't see them being any worse.

How do I get one of these re-con box's?

Phone up sky and ask for one.

I did ask Sky for one, however they asked for a reference number !
Does any one know the ref number ?
