It is a valid address I buy off him all the time.

sales@salesmart.com.au

BTW I bought his first black DV108 drive and can confirm the Orion 8x
media burns at 12x straight out of the box. What a PITA when I then
go back and try use up my old 4x media - geeeez ;-)

Regards TT

As long as they place comm in the subject line it is perfectly ok for
commercial businesses to post in here.

Comm means commercial post. FA means For Auction, FS means forsale,
WTD means wanted.

Suggest you set your kill file to remove anything with these in the
subject matter if you do not want to see forsale posts.

Well dude, you are then totally clueless as you have no
understanding of Usenet "etiquette." This isn't a fricken FS group
nor is it appropriate to post goddamned FA,WTD, or COMM crap either.
There ARE appropriate NG's for that sort of thing.

Oh gee, really? I didn't know that <sarcastic LOL>. I've been
using this medium in one form or another for 25 years now bucko,
**before** it was even called Usenet. So please spare me the
acronym lesson, ok?

Irrelevant, as this type of post simply **doesn't** belong on this
NG. Get it??

These are old rules. I had them emailed to me from every isp I have
been with.

Do a net search if you are not clear or better still contact your
local isp. Comm was designed for commercial posts.

If you bother doing a net search you will find millions of posts in
various non for sale news groups on comm, fs, fa, wtd, etc......
It was setup this way so that people can set up their kill filters to
remove any such posts that started with these prefixes.

You must be new to the net if you have not seen any of these prefixes
before.

Go do a search of prefixes and posting or read your own guidelines
that would have been sent out via email from the isp you belong to.
Using prefixes to sell has been around for donkey years in news
groups.

If you bother doing a net search you will find many millions of posts
in non forsale news groups with the prefixes of comm, ds, fa, wtd etc...

The internet has only been online for 11 years and a few years before
that was the bulliten board system. You are quite obviously new to
usenet otherwise you would know about prefixes for posting.

I would not have seen it unless you lot bothered replying to the post.

I don't mind because I have my kill filter setup. I only mind when
trolls such as yourself bother replying to such posts.

You are simply a clueless dolt spewing you're clueless ISP's party
line. These posts do NOT belong here, period. As I said previously
and which you chose to ignore due to your obviously limited cranial
capacity, there are other avenues (ie, NG's) for these types of
posts. What this guy from Australia is doing is spamming, pure and
simple. Why do you have such a problem with that?

Ok, now you have proven yourself the clueless idiot you appeared to
be. Maybe you should tell that to Mark Horton and Matt Glickman,
two guys I worked with while doing undergrad work at UC Berkeley.
No, it wasn't called Usenet then but what they did certainly can be
considered "the Father" of it all. If you are so dense as to
believe Internet text messaging and posting (herein referred to as
NNTP) has only existed for 11 years, you not only give away your
pukey age but clearly demonstrate (at least to me) that you are
either uninformed, stupid or both. Do yourself a favor a search
Google (I'll even give you some key words as you appear to be unable
to research for yourself: "Usenet" "history") and get yourself a
clue, ok? I'm done with you for now, lamer. Wait a minute, what's
that sound? ..... ker-PLONK!!

Oh that's beautiful. Pot...kettle...black, idiot. PLONK!
