As usual Reagan has been proven right.
If we had given SDI full funding, back in the 80's, we'd be that much
further along on the war on terror and our country's defense.
But full SDI funding, was denied by a Democrat controlled Congress back in
the 80's.
Let's face facts, this entire N. Korea thing would not exist today, if
Reagan had his way.

SDI surely is a defence system, but what are weapons in space
going to do to stop suicide bombers or someone spreading
anthrax through a subway ? That's your new enemy.
The Koreans are just flexing muscle.

What would weapons in space be used for ?
Brilliant pebbles is one the most useful weapons,
and it's a defence system.
It may deter the Koreans and others, sure.
But nothing will ever stop the small suicide bombers
or people using chemical and biological weapons.

It doesn't make any difference what defense system we have without a
pair of balls in the oval office. We could take out North Korea and
the entire middle east now if we wanted to. We lack the pair of balls
in the oval office. SDI would be as big a waste of my money as all the
other weapons we possess. Just one pair, that's all we need.

disaster.
You think China would just sit by and do nothing?
Of course not, nuking the Middle East and N. Korea would cause a global war
we have never seen before.
We would lose every ally we now have, including Great Britan. It would be us
against the world.
Our economy would be non-existent, and life as you know it today would cease
to exist.

If SDI could be developed to the point of stopping all nuclear missiles ...
what a great advantage that would give us.
