Default 10 greatest artists of progressive hard rock/progressive metal

Among the mainstream hard rock and metal bands which were "progressive"
in nature, these are my choices.

01. Led Zeppelin (prog metal)
02. Yes (prog hard rock)
03. Pink Floyd (prog hard rock)
04. Black Sabbath (prog metal)
05. Rush (prog hard rock)
06. Iron Maiden (prog metal)
07. Deep Purple (prog metal)
08 Jethro Tull (prog hard rock)
09. The Who (prog hard rock)
10. The Doors (prog hard rock)

Yay! Another list.
Led Zep and Deep Purple prog metal?
Actually the whole prog tag just does me in. Any tags associated with
music annoy the hell out of me.
The Doors (Flower power pop with guitar, keyboards, drums and drunken
bum who couldn't sing and is now buried in Paris)
I think Dread Zeppelin had it right. 'File Under Zeppelin Music Inna
Reggae Style'

In the beginning there was dark. That went on for a while, until someone
found the light switch. But it was only jrus1970@yahoo.com who did nothing
to break the tension by saying:

****head.

I guess may be because they were progressive and they were metal.

Good for you!
