Bon Jovi Gold yet - Not even a week it's gold!!!
Here's some of the normal BULLSHIT I write:
It's time to really ****yze the CD and remove the hype normally associated
with a new Bon Jovi release.
If you look at the entire 12 song US release (I don't count the duet with
Jennifer Nettles), there are 2 *very* good songs (Have A Nice Day, Who Says
You Can't Go Home) and two good songs (I Am, Welcome to Whatever You Are).
The rest of the songs are either very average or mediocre ("Novacaine" and
"Story Of My Life" are especially painful). This CD doesn't come close to
the Bon Jovi masterpiece "These Days" or their second best effort "Keep The
Faith".
Given the fact "Crush" wasn't that great, "Bounce" was even worse and the
anniversary release (100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong") is
unlistenable in spots, one now has to ask themselves - has Bon Jovi lost it?
Are they still capable of producing a CD that the real fans will love
("These Days") even if the critics don't? Are they still capable of
producing a four or five hit CD like "Slippery When Wet" and "New Jersey"?
Or are they going to continue to try and pass off the last three CD's as
"great works of art" and pocket as much money on the road as they can?
