Default Best Rainbow bootlegs?

Hi,

I'm a Rainbowfan from Belgium and for weeks now I'm trying to find and buy
good boots at Ebay. But there some freaks out there and prices go op up to
more than $55 or ?50!

Now, I can understand that some of them are worth it, if the quality is
outstanding. But here is the difficult part, since you can't hear them
before you buy....

I've been searching on the internet to find info on Rainbowboots and I find
only dates, tracklists, covers, but no comments.

I want to know the source and audioquality and if possible a little comment
on the performance. Sometimes I read: soundquality 9/10 and it appears to be
an audiencerecording. An audiencerecording can never get that high a score
in my opinion, that's only possible for very good soundboard, radio- or
tvshows.

At the moment, I'm having 3 cdrcopies of Rainbow Cardiff 14/9/1983
(radiobroadcast, GREAT), Dusseldorf 9/10/1995 (tvbroadcast, GREAT show) and
another from 12/11/1995 from Tokyo (clear sound, very good
audiencerecording, but not good enough for me...).

I'm searching for tv, radioshows and excellent soundboardrecordings and rare
livecompilations from official b-sides or something like that...

Another thing what it's making the search difficult is that you can have
different recordings from the same show. For instance: On 2/10/1995 there
was a radiobroadcast in Sweden. Part of the this show was bootlegged on
"Circus Night". But that appears to be a audiencerecording (?) and I want
only the radioquality!

Is it possible to add to the list here under, the titles of the bootlegs on
which these recordings appear? This is really only known by fans who have
heard these recordings... and I haven't.
Please give me advise.

Radio/TV/Pro Recordings:

Osaka, Japan 9 Dec 1976 (Japan Radio)
Munich, Germany 20 Oct 1977 (Rockpalast TV)
Osaka, Japan 17 Jan 1978 (Japan Radio - not 100% sure about this one)
Atlanta, Ge****a 23 June 1978 (USA Radio)
New York, NY 30 Nov 1979 (USA Radio)
Boston, MA 7 May 1981 (USA Radio)
San Antonio 18 Aug 1982 (Video Release)
Cardiff, UK 14 Sept 1983 (UK Radio)
Tokyo, Japan 14 March 1984 (Japan Video/Laser Disc)
Stockholm, Sweden 2 Oct 1995 (Sweden Radio)
Balingen SWF3 Festival, Germany 21 July 1996 (German Radio - not 100% sure
about this one)

Maybe there are others? Please let me know.

Thanx,

Mark

Hi Mark. I had an "auidence recording" as you call it of the Rainbow Show at
the Beacon Theatre NY from 1975. I also interviewed Ritchie and Roger Glover
after the show. Unfortunately I don't think I have those tapes anymore. I
know I don't have the RB interview anymore.

Sorry I can't be of more help!

Scott :-)

Really, fat stuff. You still continue to prove what a liar you are. Roger
Glover did not JOIN RAINBOW UNTIL 1979. What a fat sack of bullshit you are.

are.
Me? Bullshit? Where are the gates, little Mr. Bullshit? If I tell the world
I live in a gated community then by golly I'd better be able to show them
some gates!

Bwahahahaa

Have you been to Las Vegas? Have you been to where I live? When you make that
trip and find out for yourself, then you can talk. Otherwise, shut your fat
mouth. You lying sack of crap. You are so pathetic. You are such a total loser
it is sad. You deranged, sick, lying bag of bullshit. You are so scared that
someone will come up to you in New York at the Beacon Theater and slap the
pizza right of your fat mouth. You are nothing but a fat, out of shape,
bullshitting, loser.

I can't help you with the quality, but if you are looking for live rainbow -
recordings,
try http://www.deep-purple.nl
Rainbow covers.
At least you can find the tracks (songs) on each recording. .

Who says he did, genius? Do you realize you just ****ed up another thread?
Why don't you shut up and go back to what you do best: cleaning Marino's
toilet and selling t-shirts. Leave discussions about music to the
knowledgeable people.

So what are you saying, timmy? Are their gates at 8229 Shad Bush or are
their no gates? Mapquest shows none. Come clean on this issue or shut the
**** up.
