Default Is there a new Def Leppard album on the way?

Saw this quote from Phil Collen in a story at Pollstar about their upcoming
tour with Journey:

"Only six months between tours for Def Leppard ... this is amazing ... WOW.
I think we're getting the hang of this!" Def Leppard's Phil Collen said.
"Usually, we always have to redefine and reorient ourselves to touring as we
are used to a three-year gap between tours because of the recording process.
This time, we had the album in the can so we are good to go."

The album is in the can? WHAT album?

I just don't want to set myself up for dissapointment. Slang was awful, in
my opinion, and they really haven't contributed much since Steve died 15
years ago.

I hate to see them go. I will go see their concert if they just play the
old stuff. I have done that twice and it was great. I haven't been able to
stand much of the new stuff for a while.

I stopped expecting another High N' Dry or Pyromania years ago. I really
like Slang and Euphoria quite a bit. X was the one that I thought was awful.

Live, I'm really tired of the Hysteria/Adrenalize songs.

Yeah, the can is a good place for it. You see, since Leppard no longer
has the talent to put out decent music, they have to resort to doing
someone else's songs. Their next release will be an album of all covers.

In article <Xns9796B0DA0C83519knightofneon20@216.196.97.136>,
none@none.net says...

You obviously don't know what you'e talking about. YEAH! is a tribute to
their own idols, and quite clearly something that especially Joe has
wanted to do for years. Gotta respect that.

If you don't like, don't listen to it. But if you start to question
their talent, you just don't have a clue what's going on around you.

Yep, and when your career is in the toilet, that's the time to do the covers.

Their talent (a.k.a. "Steamin") died 15 years ago.

All I will say to this drivel, is while you're looking forward,
don't EVER forget where you came from, and respect those that got you
to where you are.

Sounds like you lack respect.

And yet you keep whinging about the same damn thing. Steve
this, Steve that. You're rehashing the same old crap that doesn't need
to come back. Steve is dead. We all miss him, but he is dead. He isn't
coming back (at least as Steve Clark). Let it go. Move on. Def Leppard
certainly did, after having their time to mourn. Besides, it sounds
like you're wanting to live in 1991 for the rest of your life.

And you keep going out of your way to blow sunshine up Leppard's ass.
Tell me, do you get credits towards ****ing off Joe & Phil?

Not 1991 but 1981, the year High-N-Dry came out. You know, back when Def
Leppard was a rock band.

No. I get a much better reaction off Pete Willis.

Then do like someone else said. you don't like it, don't listen
to it. We're not stopping you from doing what you want, but all you
have been doing is complain.

We haven't seen you write any music and come out with an album.
Until you have done so, and have sold as many albums as Def Leppard
have, you have no right to judge. Until you do, smeg off.

I'm defending the legacy of Clark/Willis. Something the current "band"
seem intent on destroying.
