Hash: SHA1 VH1 recently aired Hysteria in their "Classic Albums" documentaries. It was Phil who mentioned that it was a Mutt Lange song, mainly done for a country singer to sing, but thought it'd be better as a rock song. He actually had Joe sing it with little squeals at the end of the words. Listen to the end words of the second verse. They sound like a cross between a country voice lick, and a Simon LeBon Duran Duran squeal. Joe's exact words. He said that Mutt taught them all this becaues if you add an extra squeal at the end it sounds sexual/emotional and they were always trying to get the chicks! If Personal Property had been held onto for 7 more years, it would have been a country hit. By the way.. Anyone here heard of a band called Burundi(sp?) Black? Apparently, they had the tomtom drum rolls that Joe got the idea for for Rocket.
