I've given it a listen....can't say as I care for the songs they have chosen
to cover - I'd have liked to have heard different Sweet and ELO tracks.
I read it was originally going to be a dual disk but this has been shelved.
Not a clever move - I think they are really gonna struggle to shift these.

Dual disc? Care to give further info on that?

To date I've heard nothing about dual discs other than to avoid them in
favour of two disc sets. Something to do with one side of the disc
getting wrecked while you play the other. Logical I suppose. Most
players were designed without dual discs in mind.

I haven't heard the new album, nor will I till release day, and am
somewhat curious about their choice of songs. Having said that, they
have already released most of the stuff I would have put on the album
already as b-sides, so whatever I think about the new cd the stuff I
like is already in the bag!

Like the artwork better that the X artwork too. Odd that Rick is without
drums. Other than that very them and very likeable.

cheers

Mike

Re: the Dual disk
This from Billboard.com....

"Def Leppard originally intended to release Yeah! as a Dual Disc but instead
opted to make the planned DVD component, "Bootleg Backstage," a separate
release later in the year. The DVD will feature three live tracks (Action,
Rock On, No Matter What) and 20 minutes of interview footage."

Can't say as I've heard anything about some players damaging the format...

'I am glad its not a dual disk as my CD player is a jukebox one and holds
all my CDs and once I put a new disc in I never have to touch it again.

I'm curious why those that are buying this are doing so. I've bought every
other new Lep album (compilations aside) but have no intention of getting
this. Are people buying Yeah! cause they like the songs, or expect to like
them, or is it simply out of a loyalty to the band?

I have liked every Def Leppard album released so far with the exception of
OTTN so I see no reason why I will not like this.

so are you familiar with the songs? if not doesn't it worry you that you may
not care for the tracks they have chosen?

I am familiar with some of the songs, but the only DL album in the past that
I have known a lot of the tracks before I purchased was Hysteria all the
other albums following Hysteria I bought on there release date without
knowing any of the tracks.
