Default Warning: Fanboy Alert!

I just got Metal God Essentials Vol. 1 (W/Bonus DVD)!

Man I've only been through it a couple of times (2 in the car, 1 on the
Stereo) but these remasters kick ass. The bonus tracks are 2 hits and a
miss for me, but I love the sound quality on this one. Even the song Slow
Down which is average halford at best, really shines with the heavy guitar
brought to the front. Very cool. I know I'm a fanboy and I would have like
it anyway, but it surprised me with how good it sounded.

Oh. And the Live in 1980 CD? Pretty much sucked. Horrible quality- they
didn't fix the spikes from the bootleg soundboard recording and the whole
thing sounds like a cassette tape transfer. Now it's just a shelved item
whose only function is rounding out my completist JP collection.

If you'll excuse me now- I gotta go check out this MGEv.1 DvD!

Cheers,
Servo

I agree about Metal God Essentials, I downloaded a copy and it sounded
like shit, but when I finally got a real cd there is a big improvement
in the quality... it's a good mix when I am in the mood for the
Halford band. I like the one remixed tune by the producer from the
War of Words but the other new Halford tracks are forgettable.

I got it and gave it one listen and tossed it onto the never to heard again
shelf.

It's circular, about a foot tall. He keeps it under the bathroom sink with
a plastic bag in it. It's also full of old kleenex and used Q-tips. It
gets emptied once a week. LOL.
