Greatest Hits are fairly commonplace for a band wanting to finish up
their current contract with thei rlabel - the easiest way to deliver that final album is to make up a new one from old tracks, with a couple of new ones thrown in to give the older fans a reason to check it out. Korn presumable had a six album deal with Epic (I always thought it was five, but anyway) and this makes album number six an easy job. So what? As long as you still like the music they make, who gives a toss who
else likes them? Are you really going to stop listening to Korn just because "wannabes" start listening to them? I hope not. Hardly makes it worth it for the band if people gave up on them purely because they reach a wider audience. -- ~SF http://www.insincerity.net *I don't know, I don't care, and it doesn't make any difference* |
