Martin Popoff reviews Polishing of Metal
Found this at the Emperor Multiemdia promo website:
BW/BK's Martin Popoff has reviewed Polishing of Metal for the next
edition of the magazine, although the project contained far more data
than his books ever did, he requested to review it and concluded after
reading only the first 339 pages that it was "Practacly un-ratable"
but nontheless gave it a full 5 marks! In the short and less than
detailed article he commented about "The bizarre brainchild of
Oakville, Ontario's Derek McDonald" featuring such bands as "Goat
Horn, Skulgrinder and Penetrator", and confirms that the disc features
"weblinks, five hours of music and 1304 band biographies...". The
proposed article is expected to appear in the next edition of the
magazine.
Emperor Multimedia, for its part has argued that the article was
nonetheless biased and gives the errored conclusion that the entire CD-
ROM featured ONLY 339 pages when it features far more and argues that
the entire section on the music history was skipped over.
The media coverage will nonetheless bolster the already brisk sales of
the world's first all heavy metal multimedia archive CD.
