Default Difference between Beatles and Zep double albums

The White Album was a case of the Beatles cup overfloweth with 30 brand new
songs

Physical Graffiti was a case of cleaning out the vaults of older tracks,
though I'm not sure the 8 new tracks would have fit on a double-sided vinyl
record. I think they went a few minutes over the capacity of an LP.

There's a similarity in that both albums feature a wide variety of styles by
the respective band.
PG is still my favourite Zep album, though if I were to drop one song from
it I'd lose 'Kashmir', everyone's tastes are different I suppose...

I'd have no problem if Revolution 9 were dropped. But I love Kashmir
with its meter-syncopation.

Beatles had two primary songwriters/lyricists. Zep had one primary
songwriter and one lyricist. Secondaries would be Mr. G. Harrison and
Mr. J.P. Jones.

The White Album was inspired by hanging out with the Maharishi dude
(or however ya spell it), Brian Epstein's death, and the usual Beatle
hoopla. That album could easily be edited down to 3 sides.

Physically Graffiti was inspired by these really hot chicks in L.A., a
ride through the desert, and some excellent cola, maaannnnnn .... the
band could have easily made Houses of the Holy (the album) a double
instead of PG.

It's hard (for me) to compare each group. Both were incredibly
gifted, and groundbreaking in certain, unrelated regards. Kind of
like picking a favorite child ...

Which Beatles song would you have the hardest time imagining Led
Zeppelin covering and vice versa?

How about:

Hey Jude
When the Levee Breaks
