Default producers questions...

hello,

Produced by Jimmy Page
Executive producer = Peter Grant

What is the difference between that ?

Is a "producer" only the person really responsible of the artistic
direction of an album and nothing more ? and the "executive produce"r
the person fiding contracts for tours, managing relation with banks,
advertising agencies, press etc...?

Probably that for LZ, what what about other bands ?

and what is an engineer as opposed to a producer and in film a director as

....and seconds before the explosion, dom's emerged from the bunker carrying
the last chicken tikka masala humanity would ever see, crying:

Probably a contractual thing set up by PG to make sure if he put as much
blood sweat and tears into it as the band, he would be financially secure.

I think he achieved that eh ?

Page was the producer in the musical sense, while Grant was the executive
producer in the business sense. There may have been an allocation of
royalty credits that went along with these titles, as with songwriting,
although I have read that Zeppelin was an exact 5-way split of profits.
