Default A couple of recent CD's

I am going to mention a couple CD's I sort of feel like I got
snookered into buying.

First up is Lullacry. People said they sounded a lot like Lacuna
Coil. If only. The thing with this band is they sound like it's 1986
all over again. The music sounds a lot like the 80's bands. If you
really liked that stuff, you might well like this. The CD is called
Crucify my Heart. The female singer sounds a little like a cross
between Pat Benatar and Lita Ford. But probably not as good a singer
as either. I'd give it about 4 stars out of ten. I like about 3 songs
of the 11, and the rest is only ok at best.

Second up is From Zero.
A nu-metal band, but I did like their first album. It had some rage
going. The second album is called my so called life. They should have
called it my so called album. It has almost nothing on it that the
first album had. I'll have to give it a second listen, but it's just
not that great.

Well, this is the warning for anyone considering buying something
new. They may want to pass over these two.
However, if you really, really liked the 80's hard rock-pop metal
stuff, the Lullacry sounds a lot like that stuff. I can throw it in
and listen to it, but I think it's not that great, but not as horrible
as it could be.
As for From Zero, the debut album, I did like that one, and it has
more fire, rage and attitude that carries it along. The new one just
doesn't have anything on it.
