You can almost hear the crickets chirping in this NG. It's sooooo quiet.
Or is it just me?

I was all set to read it the last rites! To be honest, the very few of us
that posted in here are all on other "active" groups as well, leaving this
one kind of surplus to requirements. At least that is, until Manowar do
something again. Although I did post my thoughts on the new single a while
back but no-one else seems to have heard it. Or care about it, one or the
other!

I've heard the new single, it's good as far as Manowar go. I guess
nobody else has heard it much to comment though.

Other than that this newsgroup is probably going to go the way of others
before too long, a couple of spammers obviously are now using it for
their own purposes. Not very bright spammers mind you, as there isn't
that great an audience here.

It definately feels like it.

The last Manowar thing I knew about was the re-issue of their stuff
on SPV several months ago. I got HtE and IGR, mainly because I thought
the original CD's didn't sound all that good.
Anyway, I guess I missed comments about the single, or I just didn't
hear it. I assume it's released now?

Hell, those also get pasted all over the other 4 ng's I look at. I
don't think they even read them, just send out the messages.

I went to Amazon, and the last stuff they list is all the re-issue
remasters released on June 28, 05. Before that, the next thing they
list is the Dawn of Battle. (which is also re-issued, don't know about
any remastering.)
I was also looking at the Manowar website, and can't find a new
single listed. They do list 14 singles they've released. However,
their website is slow to be updated.
What's it called, the new single?

Ian started up a thread on it a while ago, King of Kings.

The official website has them available, not for free though.

They're only a couple of bucks each, so if you're interested it won't
break the bank ;-)

That rattles the memory. I assume this will be on the new album, and
have they issued it via CD?

Yeah it's from the forthcoming album. Apparently you can get the single
on CD as a bonus with the Manowar DVD, Hell On Earth- Volume IV. Other
than that I don't think it's been released separately elsewhere yet.

I liked it, typical Manowar doing the sort of thing I like Manowar doing.

Those spammers turn up in a few places...I sometimes wonder why they don`t
check on some of the groups they post in though, clealry this one is a waste
of their time. I`ve killfiled them all anyway, none are showing up in here
for me just now.

King of Kings. The website calls it a single but AFAIK it`s only available
as a download for the minute.

http://www.manowar.org/news_body.php?idnews=176

You have to pay for it but it`s less then half a pint of beer so I went
along with it :-) They`re very high quality MP3s. Received a confirmation
email hailing me and thanking for me for helping to spread the true word of
heavy metal. Good to see the whole Manowar family is as cheesy as the band!
