Default Hello!

I agree with you entirely here. Dawn of Battle is 8 minutes long and would
sound great included on the album instead of these 2. I wouldn`t be
surprised if later editions of the album have this and I Believe included,
it would round the album out a bit better. Quite a lot of the mid section of
the album isn`t very metal at all! It would be interesting to hear some of
the old songs re-recorded especially from Into Glory Ride as that had a
dodgy production IMO. Then again I guess the live albums are re-recordings
to a certian extent and I`m sure there`ll be a third with the songs they
haven`t done yet. I think your`re right about 9-11, it does seem to be a
prevading theme throughout the album. IIRC Manowar are from New York so it
obviously affected them. I hear that Iced Earth`s vocalist has recently left
them citing 9-11 as a big reason, saying how it put things into perspective
for him. Being from England I`ve grown accustomed to hearing about terrorist
attacks on home cities throughout my life what with the IRA and all but
nothing on the horrific scale of 9-11. Oddly ( and fortunately ) my home
city has never been targeted despite being one of the main naval ports of
the country.

Yeah, that is sort of the down side of the album. However it was
good to see them come back, with venom.

I am almost certain that they'll do another live CD set. There's
still some old songs that I and many fans like that never made the
list on either Live CD set.

Yeah, I had saw where Iced Earth will have a change, and why. I
understand his feeling on this and will not say anything bad about it.
I knew that Manowar were staging from the New York area.
I have also long read and heard about the IRA. It's a different kind
of terror, on a small scale, but it's cost a lot of people their
lives.

Yeah, there was a time here where they were blowing people up on quite a
regular basis. It seems to have calmed down somewhat I`m glad to say, it`s a
difficult situation in Ireland that I don`t pretend to fully understand.
Religion plays a big part which goes totally over my head. Of course both
sides of the Atlantic seem to live in perpetual fear of another major
terrorist attack nowadays, very sad times and I do fear something big will
kick off again at some point. I certainly don`t hold anything against the IE
singer for quitting if he feels that strongly.

It's real hard to say. I don't understand it all that much either.
Of course, try to explain the Middle East. They are fighting over
sand, pretty much. Sure the area has holy meaning to them, but if they
can a lot of them just leave for other countries.

As for another attack. You hope not. It's ironic, though, there were
plans found in Afganistan that they were going to blow up the Effiel
Tower in France, but France doesn't seem to want anyone to go after
them. Of course the recent history of France involves waving a white
flag, rather than fight, so what do you expect?
And the old joke,

Q: Do you know why the French planted all those trees along the road
to Paris?

A: It's so the Germans could march their tanks to Paris in the shade.

If that's where his heart is now, it's what he should do. Maybe
sometime down the line he might want to sing in a band again.
The 9-11 attacks changed a lot. It's caused a lot of people to
re-examine their lives. It's caused people to take a serious look at
the way they do things.

The bad thing is, everyone has known that suicide bombers could
attack anywhere in the world. I guess no one really expected someone
to take over commerical jets and fly them into buildings.
I don't think anyone is going to be surprised by any other tactics
they can think up and use.
