Dead celebrities and serial killers...
Charlie isn't evil, at least no more evil than anyone else. Anton
LaVey once wrote that it is not those who do good who are mankind's
true saviors, but rather those who do evil, for they provide an
example the rest of humanity can use to appear righteous by
comparison. The more sinful the society, the more monstrous a
criminal they need to redeem themselves, and Charlie is that monster.
As for Marilyn Manson, he certainly hasn't killed anyone, but is
accused of being 'evil' simply because he rejects the phony
righteousness of xianity. The lesson Marilyn learned from Charlie is
that the image of evil is profitable, and he uses it as a successful
marketing tool. Image is more important than substance, so real evil
is not necessary to sell records and concert tickets. Marilyn does
not actually have to sacrifice baby chickens to Satan, as long as
people THINK he does.
The mainstream media gives the people what they want. The people want
sensational stories about serial killers, so that's what the media
gives them. This just proves Marilyn Manson's theory to be correct.

"I am whoever you make me, but what you want is a fiend; you want a
sadistic fiend because that is what you are."
-- Charles Manson
"I was working on cleaning up my house, something Nixon should have
been doing. He should have been on the side of the road picking up
his children. But he wasn't. He was in the White House sending them
off to war."
-- Charles Manson
"Only for vicarious thrills do you sell a newspaper and do you kow-tow
to public opinion. Just to sell your newspapers. You don't care
about the truth. You take another Alka-Seltzer and another aspirin
and hope that you don't have to think of the truth and you hope that
you don't have to look at yourself with a hangover as you go to a
Helter Skelter party and make fun of something that you don't
understand."
-- Charles Manson
"These children that come at you with knives, they are your children.
You taught them. I didn't teach them. I just tried to help them stand
up."
-- Charles Manson
"Manson has become the favored brand name for murder and
madness. ... Manson has become the property of the corporation, a
consumer product designed to satisfy an audience that loves nothing
more than to be frightened."

"We truly sit in the shadow of death, or rather the billboard that
advertises it. We're all going to die...and if enough people are
taking photos, we will all be stars. But it's all really a popularity
contest now. How you die. How many people you take with you. What
your cause was. How good is your sound byte. We even make martyrs
where others, equally and brutally murdered, fall as just statistics."
-- Marilyn Manson
"We want to represent peace because we feel that if you give the world
peace they want war. So we feel that by representing peace we're
furthering the destruction of mankind with our music."
-- Marilyn Manson
"My grandfather had this train set in his basement, and when he turned
on the train, it was to mask the sound of his masturbating. I would
tell my parents, but nobody would believe me. He was the one who
convinced me that things were supposed to be pure and American. But
they weren't."
-- Marilyn Manson
"Drugs should be freely distributed. That way the people who want to
kill themselves will do it, leaving more room for the people who can
do the rest of the drugs."
-- Marilyn Manson
"There is no truth. You just pick the lie you like best. As long as
you know everything's a lie, you can't hurt yourself."
-- Marilyn Manson
"From Jesse James to Charles Manson, the media, since their inception,
have turned criminals into folk heroes. They just created two new
ones when they plastered those dipshits Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris'
pictures on the front of every newspaper. Don't be surprised if every
kid who gets pushed around has two new idols. We applaud the creation
of a bomb whose sole purpose is to destroy all of mankind, and we grow
up watching our president's brains splattered all over Texas. Times
have not become more violent. They have just become more televised.
Does anyone think the Civil War was the least bit civil? If
television had existed, you could be sure they would have been there
to cover it, or maybe even participate in it, like their violent car
chase of Princess Di. Disgusting vultures looking for corpses,
exploiting, fucking, filming and serving it up for our hungry
appetites in a gluttonous display of endless human stupidity."
