I thought the one with a lobster was "Multiple Maniacs," the only John
Water film I haven't seen. "Female Trouble" was pretty good too, with
most of the same cast. There is a rape scene in it where Divine's
female character, Dawn Davenport, is raped by Divine's male persona -
a filthy, disgusting man with shit-stained underwear.

John Water's first "mainstream" movie, at least his movie that was
acceptable for general release, was "Polyester." You've got to see
it if you get a chance. The story of a fat houswife named Francine
Fishpaw, whose husband runs the local porno theater, whose mother is
the nastiest bitch alive and tries to drive Francine insane, her son
with the foot fetish known as the "Baltimore Foot Stomper" who goes
around in public stomping on women's feet (he also sniffs glue and
other inhalants), and her slutty dropout daughter. The movie was
originally releases in "Odorama" and came with a scratch-n-sniff
card which you scratched on cue to numbers flashed on the screen
(there was a rose, a fart, and Corvette Leather, among others). My
personal favorite was "Crybaby" starring Johnny Depp.

In John Waters' later films he began casting Traci Lords and also
Patty Hearst as regular characters. Divine's last appearance was
in "Hairspray" (Divine at that point had become dangerously
overweight). Divine died shortly thereafter just after arriving
on the set to appear on an episode of "Married...With Children"
to play Peggy Bundy's notorious mother (of a massive heart attack,
as you would expect).

Ive seen Crybaby and Serial Mom but my interests wained around that point.
Its frankly not the same without Divine. And Edie (?spelling) the one who is
in love with the Egg Man.

I recommend the Spanish Equivalent Director - Pedro Almodovar

oh happy days!

Umm, perhaps by the way he dresses?!? I don't suppose the fishnet
stockings he wears contribute to that theme...

Go check out Gothic fashion and you'll get your answers.By the way, I'm
not saying that MM is a Goth.

Then on "Mechanical
Animals" he took adrogyny to the extreme, using a body mold to
give him both breasts and bulbous crotch simultaneously.

Ok, you may be right. But what if we consider Mechanical Animals' cover as an artwork?

Umm, Marilyn Manson himself has said hideous is the look he's going
for. He said he wears makeup as a "terrorist act," to make himself
UGLIER. Of course MM is trying to shock people! If you knew
ANYTHING about Satanism, you would realize that it and shock go
hand in hand. Anton LaVey wrote that one must always try to go
completely against the social norms of the period. He was writing
from the period of Hippies so he said if you wished to shock
American society at you might try getting a buzzcut and spouting
conservative politics. Once something that shocked becomes a fad,
it no longer shocks and must be discarded in favor of something new.

I hopw you're not going to give a load of crap on how MM is NOT
a Satanist nor does he try to shock people. Perhaps he's just
a misunderstood Mormon missionary? I'll concede that MM does not
go so far as to read "The Satanic Bible" on stage, but those who
are paying attention can see the Satanic undercurrents that
permeate all his songs.

<snip>

Ok, you can stick to your opinion and I'll stick to mine.
