I was at Medusa's in Chicago, when the club was on Sheffield and School.
Medusa's was a juice bar/club, opened 10:00pm to like 7:00am.
Anyone 17 and over could get in and stay the whole night, er, morning. The
place was HUGE.
They had this one big room that they showed videos in all night.
Two giant video projectors and two walls with 20" TVs stacked floor to
ceiling.
At some point the video for "Down in it" came on. I was blown away.
Video walled room full of late/mid eighties goths, skinheads, new-wavers,
trendies, stoners, everyone just grooved on it. Damn!
Days later when I bought Pretty Hate Machine, me and my at the time
girlfriend listened to it over and over.
That album felt like on big long song to me. Like an opus or something like
that. If that's the right word.
I hope Trent keeps making music.
