"ONSLAUGHT have now completed the recording of their new studio album
'Killing Peace', which is due for release in February [via Candlelight
Records]. The album is an uncompromising mixture of true thrash tunes which
will grab you by the throat.

"On a recent airing by Terrorizer's Ian Glasper, the album was described as
'better than SLAYER at their best.' The record-buying thrash fans will be
able to judge that themselves in February."

Commented Grice: "We don't feel is if we are competing against the likes of
SLAYER etc. but we are sure giving these guys a run for their money."

Hmmm...I always liked "The Force" a great deal but if Onslaught come up with
something better than Slayer at their best I`ll be mighty suprised...

From a 4th rate thrash act, I doubt it.

Is there a band today that doesn't think they give Slayer a "run for
their money"?

What most of these bands, and younger fans, don't seem to get is
Slayer were revolutionary at "their best".

Even great thrash today is just a good album. Just like this year's
Goodyear tire is just a more advanced version of the wheel.

Oh come on, The Force was a lot better than 4th rate. The debut was pretty
average and the third album rubbish but that middle one was a gem.

Noodle has always had issues with Onslaught. It seems to be much like
his problems with Nevermore.

His Nevermore issues are overstated - a couple of times I`ve peeked into the
soulseek chatroom and found him praising them to the skies.

Onslaughts' a good band, I enjoyed The Force as well, still have it, but
not in the same league as Slayer by any stretch.

No I don't. They're ok but they're simply 4th rate, period. You Brits
have a fondness
for them because they're Brits but face it, they're nothing special.
