I think Neon God Part 1 is the best WASP album since Crimson Idol. Still
doesn't stand up to earlier albums like Wasp or Headless Children, but gets
away from the 'one track hardly being distinguishable from the next' problem
that has plagued more recent efforts.

Well, I would have appreciated part 1 a lot more if they had taken the time
to record it properly, the way it is now it sounds just like a poor demo.
Part 2 is a lot better but still far from what they did in the 90's, thereäs
no way you can compare the quality of anything they did in the past 5 years
with Crimson, SNBE, K.F.D. or even Helldorao.

Goes to show how opinions can differ.......I wouldn't rank any of the other
albums you mention alongside Crimson Idol, and especially not against
anything that preceeded it.
Helldorado is the best of the rest as far as I'm concerned but it's still
weak.

When I talk about quality I mean the quality of the recordings. Somehow they
went back to sound more mediocre than they ever done, except for electric
circus though.
