and the largest chicken producer in Puerto Rico. Pilgrim's

Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Ge****a, Kentucky, Louisiana, North
Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia,
Mexico and Puerto Rico, with other facilities in Arizona,
California, Iowa, Mississippi, Utah and Wisconsin. Position
Summary: Manage, direct, and coordinate operations of the plant
to achieve production objectives in an efficient, cost effective
manner consistent with quantity and designed quality
requirements, while maintaining a safe work environment. Directly
manages subordinate shift superintendents/supervisors who
supervise employees in production and other areas as assigned.
Responsibilities: Manage the daily operations of the plant.
Monitor performance versus planning to achieve optimum production
and safety efficiency to meet production standards. Set cost
control objectives and monitor performance versus objectives.
Ensure quality levels and product cost efficiencies are met or
exceeded. ****yze equipment needs and delegate projects to
Engineering/Maintenance. Monitor compliance with Company
policies, Labor Agreement, quality specifications, sanitation
practices, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Oversee all operations to conform with USDA guidelines. Insure
employees are trained with regard to proper procedures and safe
methods. Insure the implementation of corrective measures to
eliminate hazardous conditions and/or practices. Other duties
as assigned. Skills Required: · Must be able to work
with all levels of employees within the company. · Excellent
organizational skill including ability to multi-task. ·
Excellent communication skills. · Ability to interpret
do***ents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, procedure manuals, and labor agreement. ·
Good math skills. · Ability to solve practical problems. ·
Bilingual skills are preferred. Education, Training,
and Experience Bachelor's degree (BS) in Business
Administration, Engineering, Management, or equivalent and eight
to ten years related experience and / or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience, primarily in the food
industry.
