Spanish or Portuguese BILINGUAL - Job Functions: Accounting,
Finance - This position is primarily responsible for overseeing
and directing the preparation of the company's federal and state
income and franchise tax returns, and estimated income tax
payments. The position is also responsible for the management and
supervision of other projects associated with income tax matters
including assistance with federal and state income tax audits,
assistance with tax provision process, federal, state and
international income tax planning projects. This includes
responsibility for overseeing the timely and accurate completion
of income tax returns and audits in such a way that minimizes tax
liabilities while complying with all applicable tax laws and
regulations. The candidate must have excellent ****ytical skills
and an in depth knowledge of a broad range of federal, state and
international corporate tax issues and be able to perform tax
****ysis on a variety of business strategies in order to minimize
corporate taxes. Excellent communication, management and
interpersonal skills are essential to this position in order for
the candidate to deal with management, taxing authorities and
team members reporting to this position. Education: Requires
broad knowledge in general professional or technical field.
Knowledge is normally acquired through at least four years of
college resulting in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in
accounting or equivalent in an academic field directly related
and essential to this position. Significant in-depth knowledge of
generally accepted accounting principles, tax laws and
accounting. CPA designation required. Experience: Minimum of 10
to 15 years of experience in the field of corporation income
taxation which includes preferably a minimum of 5 years of
experience with a major accounting firm. Computer Skills:
Requires standard computer skills. Candidate must have working
ability with income tax preparation software, Excel, Access, Word
and Outlook. Must have ability to perform technical research
using CCH, BNA or other tax research tools. Travel: 6+ domestic
trips per year. Supervisory Responsibilities: 6 10 staff tax
managers, senior accountants and accountants.
