No visa sponsorship available and no 3rd party referrals, agencies or corp to corp sub-contracting referrals from multi-employee consulting companies, please, for any WSI requirements, no exceptions). ---------------------------------------------------------------- General resume submissions are always welcome, candidates who include the TARGETED cover letter as described below will be reviewed first for this opportunity. ----------------------------------------------------------------- The selected ideally regionally local Independent Consultant Network Engineer Specialist candidate will undertake technical work and tasks related to the operational support and projects maintaining the North America LAN & WAN infrastructures, maintain the day to day operation of the network and will be utilized on the network upgrade projects as required. -Logically tackle complicated tasks and problems relating to network coping with the application complexity and diversity encompassed within a large network in a multinational and cross country environment. -Carry out change control and deal with the change requirements as necessary, deal with management and staff within businesses and with the IT peers and Managers for the purposes of completing tasks successfully, interface with suppliers or vendors on major projects, both in advancing the work tasks and reviewing the progress. -Work with business and IT colleagues to gather and do***ent the requirements for configuration change, project support and infrastructure maintenance, such that the requirements form a clear and agreed basis for subsequent operational support. The requirements should include both technical and project focused needs. Project coordination and manage time in a multi-task environment within a Project Methodology framework and operational environment. -Understand complex plans and network diagrams using the requisite tools in order to manage and support an operational project, also ascertain & understand the assessment of the cabling and network environments and develop CISCO networking solutions that are aligned with the business requirements. -Create technical do***entation to ensure that infrastructure enhancements and expansion solutions are recorded professionally and completely. Clear and concise technical and Project do***entation must be produced in a timely fashion. -Software: Need fluency with CISCO IOS and related Network technology and management tools and understand MS Project. -Carry out supplier and service provider liaison in order to diagnose and repair network faults or failures. Assist and coordinate colleagues where appropriate as an active team player.
