Description: Responsibilities:
Directing Mid Range Technical Services (UNIX & AS/400)
Team is responsible for up to 200 systems at multiple sites.
Team has 7 at Wilmington, DE. site and 2 abroad.
Team consists of Unix System Administrators, Unix Engineers, and Unix Technical Support Architects.Needs to have STRONG: Managing ability, Communication Skills, Negotiating Skills, Planning Skills, Directing Skills. Needs to have a solid Functional understanding of UNIX & Storage. The stronger with UNIX the better.
Has to have experience managing a large budget (multi million dollars of People and Hardware. Wants person to stay in position. This is a VITAL position for the company and they don't want someone who isn't interested in being in the position for a while.
Ideal person may have worked their way up through operations into this type of position. Need someone who has the above experience already. They want someone to come in and hit the ground running. If they wanted to mentor someone they would hire from within.
