Software Engineer - ARINC, Fairview Heights is looking for
someone to join their team as a Systems Engineer. In this role
the candidate will be responsible for defining, implementing and
assisting the management of software development efforts in
accordance with DoD 5000.2R. Other aspects of this position will
include: assisting in the evaluation of technical and operational
contractors on Air Force programs, conducting risk ****ysis
assessments and the evaluation of software systems. This position
will be responsible for defining, identifying, and do***enting
key business success factors and metrics that support
organizational decisions and permit a results-oriented view of
system performance and problem tracking. Candidate will prepare
and maintain performance metrics that summarize the schedule
milestones of key internal deliverables as well as develop and
coordinate reports, assessments, and briefings for the Government
Program Manager and staff. All candidates must have at least ten
years of experience on DoD projects in a software
engineering/software engineering management capacity.
Specifically, experience required managing at least one program
in excess 7 million dollars. Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, MS
Project, PowerPoint is required as well as experience in
establishing development of IMS/IMP, CAIV, and LCCE. Attention to
detail is a must. Candidates must be thoroughly knowledgeable of
DoD standards for do***entation and products. Must have developed
at least two IMPs with multiple subcontractors/primes. Previous
defining, identifying, and do***enting key business success
factors and metrics in software systems is required. Applicants
selected will be subject to a government security investigation
and must meet eligibility requirements for access
to classified information.
