Required Skills: DATA MODELING, ORACLE, PL*SQL, SQL, TELCO, TOAD, UNIX, Immediate perm openings as a Testing Project Manager (PM) leads a testing team assigned to the planning, design, design in detail and execution of tests (i.e. User acceptance testing, System, Subsystem or Interfaces testing). The PM is expected to coach new members of the team and provide professional and managerial leadership for the team as well as the customer. Essential to the testing process is ongoing communication with other teams related to the task (such as development and infra teams). As Testing is critical to assuring the quality of every implementation, all members of the testing team carry a significant responsibility. Effective and timely communication with the customer and related Amdocs teams is required. As is true for other implementation streams, testing professionals gain broad exposure to cross-application process flow of Amdocs solutions in a business environment. Testing teams perform acceptance tests (customer/user acceptance), system tests (cross-application) and subsystem tests (single module). Responsibilities Key Responsibility Details Manage Testing Manage various testing projects at the account level (User Acceptance Testing, System testing or sub-system testing). Provide managerial (including HR) and professional leadership and assume full responsibility for testing deliverables. Lead testing process Lead testing process from planning to execution. Able to create testing plan for new software releases. Project Planning Define realistic priorities, a master plan, including actions, resources, and an execution schedule. Appropriately allocate resources to project tasks within budget. Assign tasks according to subordinates' skills & capabilities Cross-account testing Contribute to cross account testing efforts, contributing methodology, tools, methods and techniques Implement new testing tools Lead implementation of new testing tools and methodologies within team and account. Seek ways to improve testing processes & performance Problem resolution Assume responsibility for providing solutions when technical problems occur. Customer interaction Work constructively and professionally with customers, understand customer needs & plan appropriate solutions Team contributor Be involved in additional tasks beyond those defined, respond to requests for special assistance within the team & from other teams Behavioral Competencies Reports regularly to managers, consults when necessary. Influences higher ranking peers from other teams. Ability to gain the trust and confidence of customers. Able to make decisions based on limited info and stand behind them Able to present deliverables. Technical Skills Able to define new methodologies. Demonstrates mastery of the project's application processes and technology In depth knowledge of at least one Amdocs product family (i.e. Ensemble, Mobile or Clarify) - Advantage Able to document all test deliverables. UNIX experience of 3-5 years required. Familiarity with rollover functionality required. Extensive testing experience of more than 5 years required. ability to maintain test cases. Ability to work independently and to put extra effort in the short time frame required. Able to follow work routines and standards. Able to document all test deliverables. Able to present deliverables. DB (Oracle, SQL Server) Data Modeling principals and associated tools (SQL & PL/SQL, TOAD) Test automation and performance tools (e.g. WinRunner, LoadRunner, Precise) - Advantage Configuration Control knowledge (Source Safe principals) S/W architecture for web based and non web based applications principals (e.g. Client side, Tuxedo, Server side) Able to present deliverables to C-level people. Knowledge of at least one Amdocs product family (i.e. Ensemble, Mobile or Clarify)- advantage Knowledge of the Telco business processes Specific knowledge of application areas for Billing and CRM Education / Experience Ten years of relevant testing experience Delivery of professional services One of the following academic backgrounds: o B.A. in Computer Science o Engineer o B.A. in any exact Science (with the following certification:ISEB Practitioner Certified; CQE Certified) Practical Engineer in Computer science Travel Requirements Presence on customer site is required occasionally.
