Darwin Partners' Networking Practice is looking for a PACS Network Administrator to help with the installation, upgrade and service of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications Systems) at hospital sites for one of our premiere clients in the Medical Device industry. The PACS industry is in the midst of tremendous growth and is expected to continue double-digit growth rates for at least the next five years. All consultants placed on this project will receive valuable and marketable knowledge through training on PACS by an industry leader.

Responsibilities
The administrator will be responsible to track and resolve all issues for PACS sites, and the service coverage of other PACS sites in their assigned region. This includes maintaining service performance & customer satisfaction levels. PACS service activities include: maintaining the assigned sites, tracking all maintenance activities, tracking system performance, as well as Preventative Maintenance.

Qualifications

Excellent Client relation, teamwork and leadership skills

Mid-level hands-on experience with system administration for Microsoft 2000, NT, and XP

Mid-level hands-on experience with system administration for Sun Solaris

Mid-level hands-on experience with configuring systems (Windows and Unix) for LAN using TCP/IP protocols

Must know basic TCP/IP routing protocols such as Ping, Telnet, FTP

Must know the basic of addressing, naming, and sub netting

Must have a solid understanding relational databases: Sybase preferred

Must be able to perform backup and restores of databases

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Technology, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

Microsoft Certified: MCP at a minimum: Other industry certifications are a plus

Excellent troubleshooting skills

Reliable transportation

Willingness to travel including overnight stays when required

Previous experience with PACS is a Big Plus
